One of Texas' "best-kept secrets" is in danger because of a new conservation-scale development. In this series, I took a closer look at the story of this land, the impact it has had on conservation in the Texas Hill Country, and the threat it is now facing as part of rapid development in this part of the state. We also explore the science behind the local aquifers and how developments damage these natural springs. A follow-up story, included in the additional links, took a closer look at the water crisis in the area and how these developments are impacting it.
