Inaugural Showcase Winner Shows Enterprise

The Austin American Statesman’s Andrea Ball claimed the Gold Prize as the first winner of the Headliners Foundation’s new Showcase Award for Enterprise and Innovation in Journalism.  In an interview with Headliners Foundation Chairman Mark Morrison, she discusses in detail how she pursued her story; clue by clue, layer by layer until she had developed a full picture of neglect and questionable practices at state mental facilities.
