Judge comments:

The winner for best reporter goes to Jim Ryan of WBAP in Dallas. Clearly, he has benefitted from being in a larger market with more resources, but he gave clear yet entertaining reports on important issues. The one thing I noticed was that Jim’s spots stood on their own. They were complete without a lead provided by an anchor.
