The series shows that in-depth and difficult reporting on a difficult subject is still important for voters. In one, the governor’s land deals are laid out for readers, with the added step of independent review. In another, the newspaper showed how someone close to the governor was able to skirt the normal review process on the way to a grant. This series has  a high degree of difficulty and were presented and written in a convincing and compelling way.
