Quen Griffin Garza worked as a lawyer for over 20 years, representing clients in a broad range of general business and securities transactions. Following her graduation from the University of Texas School of Law in 1983, Quen was fortunate to spend a year clerking for Judge Will Garwood on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Her experience clerking helped prepare Quen for one of her more interesting tasks as a lawyer: assisting with the effort that achieved a successful and amicable end to the historic desegregation case involving the Corpus Christi, Texas school district. While at law school, Quen served as an associate editor of the Texas Law Review. Quen also worked for the City of Austin in various roles, including as the Assistant Director of Personnel. She also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Austin Children’s Museum.
