Carl Stuart is a Registered Investment Advisor. He manages approximately $400 million, primarily on a fee basis, and has been in the business for 38 years.
Carl has been married to his wife, Claire, for 47 years and has three children, ages 42, 39, and 36.
In 2002, he was honored by Registered Representative, a national magazine, as one of the top 10 advisors in the United States.
For five years (2007 – 2011) Carl was honored again by Registered Representative magazine as one of the top 100 independent advisors in the country. Ranked strictly by assets under management, nominees had to manage at least $150 million in assets with a majority in retail client accounts.
In 2008, Carl was listed in Fortune Magazine as one of the top 50 independent advisors in America. Ranked strictly by assets under management, nominees had to have at least 50% of their business with individual investors.
In 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012, Carl was listed in Barron’s magazine as one of the top 1,000 advisors in the nation. In 2014, he was listed in Barron’s magazine as one of the top 1,200 advisors in the nation. The ranking reflects the volume of assets overseen by the advisors and their teams, revenues generated for the firms and the quality of the advisors’ practices.
Carl is Board member and Treasurer of Zach Theatre, President of the Headliners Club, Board member of KLRU-TV, Trustee of St. Stephen’s Episcopal School, past Chairman of the Board of the Texas Presbyterian Foundation in Dallas, Past Board Member and Chair of People’s Community Clinic, former Trustee and Chairman of the Investment and Finance Committee of Pine Manor College in Boston, Massachusetts, past Chair of the YMCA of Austin, past President of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Austin and past President of Westwood Country Club.
Since 1995, Carl has broadcast “Money Talk” – a one hour call-in radio show on News Radio KLBJ and is heard from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. every Saturday.
